Scrapyard Fence

This particular fence at a scrap metal yard in north Minneapolis has been a recurring subject (see here). It’s the little token evergreens–they seem wildly out of place in this setting–and the fire hydrant along with whatever shows itself over the wall. Sand and Sky

I’ve been taking pictures of piles of gravel and sand (aggregate) in an industrial area near downtown St. Paul, Minnesota for several years (see here for the entire series). The attraction is that the virtual mountains of material shift and change over time and I can almost always find something new to see there.
